NZCT Women's Tour of NZ

Come and do your pre season training in sunny Masterton Minimize

Training Camps / Accommodation Oportunities:

We have negotiated an outstanding opportunity for international teams to train in New Zealand prior to and post the two international races.  Organisers of the event has secured local accommodation for all overseas teams and team management who wish to come to New Zealand 15 - 20 days before the event.  The cost of this is of NZ$25 per person per day and include meals and accommodation.

Accommodation will be in Masterton, the same city where the tour will be conducted and riders will be placed in private homes (two per home).  You are invited to take advantage of a ‘Home Stay’ accommodation opportunity for the team to conduct your training camp in New Zealand up to 15- 20 days prior to the tour.

This is a great opportunity for riders to enjoy real Kiwi hospitality in very good homes with all the necessary requirements to make your stay confortable.

Many of the homes are only 10 minutes from the city centre and can feature farm style living, experiencing the great outdoors in the Masterton area.

This is an ideal opportunity to conduct a pre-season training camp in the height of the New Zealand summer.

In addtion to the excellent “Home Stay” accomodation deal as outlined above, we have secured a second option for teams wanting to stay at the hotel: A special rate for international women’s cycling teams competing in both events has been offered by the hotel, NZ$75 per person per day includes bed, breakfast and dinner.

The Masterton area boasts outstanding cycling terrain with numerous road cycling events conducted in the region including the International Women’s Tour, cycle training camps and weekly club cycling events.  The annual men’s Tour of Wellington and the Women’s Tour of New Zealand road races takes place in this area.  The terrain includes not only flat terrain but medium hills and more mountainous terrain to suit any training programme requirement, plus quiet roads.  The weather at this time of the year is hot and sunny.

All routes are within riding distance from the city. Addtionally, we will provide teams with route maps and nationally ranked women riders to act as guides to the area.

Inclusively, the organisers will collect and return all international team members from Wellington airport and transfer free of charge to Masterton.

Please note:  There are only a limited number of houses available to overseas teams at this special rate.  Allocation will be based on first in, first served basis.

International Women’s Tour and 1.1 Race:

Accommodation and meals for the these events will be borne by organisers one day prior to the race and one day after day after.
