Racing starts at 10.00am but be on Admiral Hill before 1.30pm when the road closes!
Crazy hill climbing day! In fact this is called the 'Queen Stage'; the toughest stage of the tour! Riders taking on seven big climbs over a distance of 125 km.
Try taking a picnic up to the top of Te Wharau Hill, Gladstone or Limeworks Hill, Masterton and you'll see the riders come through there twice. There is likely to be one big bunch as they come through the first time and then watch as teams and riders make their move to break away.
Then jump in the car and head to Admiral Hill, Gladstone for the finish. This has been the scene of some remarkable finishes including a breakaway bunch sprint to the line in 2018. Although this year we're looking at the longest stage ever at over 125 km; that could drastically change the finish.
PRIZES for spectators getting into it!
